A Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Murcia. Specialist in high-performance computing and in the analysis, design, and implementation of parallel algorithms on various architectures. During his doctorate, he parallelized and optimized numerous applications, primarily in the field of bioinformatics. Has won several national parallel programming competitions in Spain and co-authored more than 20 publications in international journals and conferences. Currently, director of the National High-Performance Computing Laboratory, promoting the potential of high-performance computing in science, industry, and public policy.
