Nayat Sánchez-Pi

Nayat Sánchez-Pi holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Carlos III University of Madrid, where she received an Outstanding Doctoral Prize. She has a background in Computer Science from the University of Havana.

She was a professor at Carlos III University of Madrid from 2005 to 2012 and a visiting researcher at the University of Lisbon in 2009 and University College Dublin in 2010. She also completed a postdoctoral position at the Federal Fluminense University in Brazil in 2011.

Her research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things, and human-computer interaction. She has received multiple awards and has published extensively.

Since 2018, she has directed the Inria Research Center in Chile and serves as CEO of the Inria Chile Foundation, leading the Communication and Information Research and Innovation Center.
